Attorneys Abel Band recognizes that the attorneys we recruit will determine the future of the firm. While the firm has no pre-established grade point average or class standing requirements, we seek out attorneys with strong personal qualities, relevant experience and distinguished academic credentials when positions are available with the firm. Leadership abilities, communications skills, motivation and interests in our community are key components for attorney evaluation in the Abel Band recruiting process. The firm's hiring needs primarily depend upon the needs of a particular practice area and the matching up of an attorney's experience, abilities, qualifications, and interests. Because of this, the firm generally does not rotate new attorneys among the various firm departments. Abel Band's "open door" policy and collegial environment foster an atmosphere in which new attorneys may gain experience in the practice of law on as rapid a basis as possible given the development of that attorney's professional abilities.
